EveryBody Needs Time to Unwind

Energy Unwinding is committed to facilitating improved quality of living through myofascial release.  Release in the system of fascia allows for the body, mind, and spirit to regain integration rather than each part struggling to work separately.  Results can include:

  • returning the body’s ability to conduct light and energy more effectively;

  • rehydration of the connective tissue within our bodies to allow clarity;

  • bracing and holding of the tissue to regain its ability to contract, relax, mobilize;

  • systems of the body’s ability to regain homeostasis;

  • alleviating pain if not fully resolving pain;

  • regaining range of motion;

  • easing anxiety;

  • increasing ability to breathe.

When our body cannot work effectively, the signs and symptoms can present as agitation, anxiety, depression, asthma, postural imbalances, reflux, muscle pain, loss of range of movement to name a few.

We see the human being as a whole.  Fascia is the structure of our bodies, the scaffolding, the framework.  And it is so much more.  Fascia is an interconnected web that connects every membrane within our bodies to our skeleton.  Every muscle, organ, cell is connected by fascia.  And every part of our body is communicating amongst itself unless a part or parts of our body have become restricted, causing other parts of our body to sound an alarm.  When we feel pain in a part of our body, it means that somewhere in the whole, a drag has been put in our system that is causing/contributing to the pain.

We are guided by the Myofascial Release (MFR) Approach taught by founder and therapist John F. Barnes, PT LMT NCBTMB.  Barnes has taught over 100,000 therapists over the past 55+ years.  He is a contributor to the 2015 released text Architecture of Human Living Fascia: The Extracellular matrix and cells revealed through endoscopy by Dr. Jean-Claude Guimberteau, as well as to Massage Magazine, and contributes to many books that have recently been published through the lense of fascia.
